The CVI Bern will be held in the National Horse Center in Bern, the capital of Switzerland. The spacious showground features two riding arenas (25x90m and 25x80m), an outdoor arena of 6’500sqm, and stables for up to 250 horses. The National Horse Center Bern previously hosted the European Vaulting Championships 1991, a first CVI in 2005, and the European Dressage Championships for Juniors and Young Rider in 2012. The CVI Bern has been carried out every year since 2015, but due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, the tournament had to be cancelled in 2020/2021.
The venue not only stands out by its superb infrastructure but also by its great accessibility by private and public transport. The showground is located only 5 minutes from the next highway. From the main railway station of Bern it’s only a 15 minutes tramway ride which ends directly in front of the gates of the showground. The official Event Hotel (Ibis, Ibis Budget, Novotel) is situated within walking distance.
